Search HookMCP from inside your AI assistant

hookmcp-mcp is a small, read-only MCP server that gives Claude, Cursor, VS Code and Windsurf direct access to the HookMCP directory of 819 MCP servers. Ask in plain language — “find a maintained Postgres server that doesn't need an API key and give me the Cursor config” — and get a ranked answer with a config you can paste.

Install

Requires Node.js 18+. Pick your client, copy the config and restart the app.

Add to claude_desktop_config.json — macOS: ~/Library/Application Support/Claude/, Windows: %APPDATA%\Claude\. Then restart Claude.
